GED Testing Center

Livermore Adult Education is now an authorized GED Testing Center. Testing is available on Mondays mornings. You must register at https://ged.com/ to schedule a test.

GED Testing Dos/Don'ts

What to bring to testing:

  • Picture ID*
  • Proof of California Residency*

*California issued ID or Driver's License will cover both requirements

What not to bring:

  • Anything that cannot be stored in a small paper bag.*

*Testers cannot bring ANYTHING into the testing room except ID.

GED Prep for Winter/Spring Semester

The GED Prep Class featuring GED Academy will be held on Mondays from 5:00-7:00pm in two sessions for the Winter/Spring Semester. 

Session I: January 26-March 23

Session II: April 13-June 8

Register online, by phone or in the Adult Education office.

Fee is $50. Most work is done online. Students are required to attend the two-hour lab each week. Students must attend first session.

ESL and Emergency Preparedness

The English as a Second Language Classes were recently taught a unit on Emergency Preparedness. We were privileged with the opportunity to listen to Jim Miguel, LPFD Fire Chief, as our special Guest Speaker. Here is a clip of his presentation. He was sharing his experience with the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989. Watch it!!
