SCHOOL BOARD LETTER TO OUR COMMUNITY
California funding for education is in disarray. California's severe economic crisis has forced the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District to cut $8M from this year's budget. Next year we must cut $8.8M more to remain solvent and in local control. These reductions are way beyond what our students should have to endure and are in addition to last year's cuts of $5.2M. Despite claims that next year's state budget "protects" education, it includes an additional ongoing cut of $201 per K-12 student in Livermore. This results in an additional $3M loss in revenue for our District next year and into the foreseeable future.  Click HERE for more information in English and HERE for Spanish.
