Interested teachers must possess a valid CA Credential. In addition to valid credentials all applicants must possess a current TB test and pass a CA Department of Justice Live Scan Criminal Background Check.

GED Testing Center

Livermore Adult Education is now an authorized GED Testing Center. Testing is available on two Mondays a month. You must register at https://ged.com/ to schedule a test.

GED Testing Dos/Don'ts

What to bring to testing:

  • Picture ID*
  • Proof of California Residency*

*California issued ID or Driver's License will cover both requirements

What not to bring:

  • Anything that cannot be stored in a small paper bag.*

*Testers cannot bring ANYTHING into the testing room except ID.

ESL and Emergency Preparedness

The English as a Second Language Classes were recently taught a unit on Emergency Preparedness. We were privileged with the opportunity to listen to Jim Miguel, LPFD Fire Chief, as our special Guest Speaker. He was sharing his experience with the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989.

Literacy Tutoring in Livermore


The Livermore Library provides free basic literacy instruction for adults over 16 who read below the 8th grade level and are no longer attending school in grades K-12. Click below to follow the link to their site.
